UPDATE! Please note that the location of the Navigating Unexpected Behaviors Workshop is now being held at WILMOT HIGH SCHOOL on March 20th!

A few of our Randall Junior High students experienced life on UW Madison campus! They were able to make triboelectric generators out basic materials, and visit the planetarium to learn more about our stars and planets. The day was finished off with lunch (and Babcock Ice Cream 🍦 ) at the student union and a campus tour.
A special thank you goes to Southern Lakes Advanced Learners Network and UW Madison’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences for making this event possible!

A day early, staff is off on Friday. From our parents/caregivers - Project Randall Team, Mrs. Eulgen and Mrs. Morgan! "Mrs Morgan and Mrs Eulgen are doing something special with Project Randall!" and "Thank you for trying something new for our students and taking a chance!"

Do you know that Randall has student transportation within our building for when students have to travel far distances? Well not really, we just have our amazing Mr. Merfeld!
Kindergarten parade for the 100th day of school and some 'old' looking students:)!

Fourth graders had their first squid experiment! Of course the students had fun and loved it! Who wouldn't want to work with squid ;).

Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade Math 24 teams!
They all did very well, earned plenty of tokens, and were able to work with students from other area schools. We even had some top scorers, earning ribbons and a trophy. Our students showed amazing perseverance as it was quite a tough competition!
It was extra exciting when Mr. Rivard stopped by to cheer them on!
Way to go Wildcats- we are so very proud!

Students in small groups explore plot diagrams and characterization using children's stories, identifying figurative language in a reading passage, and working on writing stamina with creative writing. The kids like the children's stories! And now all they are doing is calling out all the figurative language they hear in the classroom!

Students finding figurative language from our story, citing evidence and analyzing the meaning. So powerful! One of the best ways to show learning - MAKE IT VISIBLE!
