GUIDELINES
FOR ROOM PARENTS / CLASSROOM PARTY PLANNING
Randall
Consolidated School District promotes a healthy school
environment for students
and staff through education
and awareness, and by providing and promoting
healthy options and
opportunities.
To reduce the risk to
students who have food allergies, parents are asked to provide
fresh fruit or vegetables, or healthy food items that are
commercially prepared or prepared by a city/state
health-inspected bakery.
Be aware that many
commercially prepared foods DO contain peanut oil.
Home-baked snacks and treats
are NOT to be distributed to students during school
hours.
While there is not a
prohibition against the distribution of sweets and traditional
party items, it is strongly encouraged to think of healthy
alternatives first and plan for a balance of food offerings.

VALENTINE’S DAY
In making preparations for any
of the three classroom parties or celebrations, we ask that you
consult with your child’s teacher first! Please contact your
child’s teacher AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN
ADVANCE of the
planned celebration to work out the details and finalize
arrangements for each planned classroom party. These are the
only parties/celebrations to be held during the school year.
There will be no exceptions. Thank you
for respecting this decision!
