An 8th Grade Project
Introduction:
Are you interested in web design? Have you dreamed of making your own website? Are you interesting in leaving a permanent mark on Randall school? If you answered yes to any of those questions then this is the project for you!
Process:
Follow these steps to complete the project:
1) Review the Randall School website and come up with an idea for a website. Then fill out the idea form with your partner.
Consider.....
a) What does our school site need?
b) What do you have knowledge about?
c) If you were a Randall community member, what would you like to see on our site?
Possible Ideas for Sites:
Character Education website
A redesign of the Randall home page
Summary of any particular sport, or all of sport seasons
Website for a particular teacher
Website of a particular subject (ex. All about Spanish)
Website on homework help (ex. Links for help with Math Homework)
Website about forensics, grade level activities, student council, peer mediation, etc
Website about Olympics (history of the games, activities that Randall school participates in for our Randall Olympics)
Website about band/choral programs
Website about the Talent Show
2) Make a brief sketch of your site. Plan out your design, and do the necessary research.
3) Start creating your site using FrontPage. Incorporate any technology skills you have. Make sure that you and your team members share the work.
4) Take time to seriously edit your site. Remember...this could potentially be seen by the entire world so check for grammar, spelling, and any other mistakes.
5) Print off a final copy of your site as well as the HTML code behind it. Give it to Mrs. Phillips
*****Mrs. Phillips will then review the site with Dr. Bloom. If your site checks out ok it may be linked to our Randall school page.
Evaluation
