Mrs. Mudroch

School Counselor

I am the School Counselor at Randall School.  I started working at Randall in the Fall of 1992.  My first impression is still the impression I get every time I walk in the door -- "What an amazing school!  The students and staff are outstanding!  At the time I started, Randall had less than 500 students.  Now, we have over 700 students, and they're still amazing!  Before coming to Randall, I taught 1st grade for 4 years on the island of Guam, where my husband was stationed with the   United States Air Force.

I have been married since July 1981 to Steven Mudroch.  He is retired Air Force, and currently a Management Analyst at the United States Military Entrance Processing Command.  We have 2 children -- Steven, who is a graduate of the University of Chicago, and in medical school, and Elizabeth, who is working on a double major at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in Dance and American Sign Language.

Over the years that I have been here, I started the Randall Student Council, the annual Talent Show, the Eighth Grade Shadowing Project, and Randall's Peer Mediation Team. I am also the coordinator for our annual Veteran's Day Program.  I also served as 8th Grade class advisor for 5 years (2001-2005), and the Washington DC 8th Grade trip coordinator 5 times (1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, & 2007).

My duties include individual counseling, group counseling (Divorce Support Group, Friendship Groups, 5th Grade Girls' Circle Groups, and SAP Groups), and teaching Developmental Guidance Lessons to Kindergarten through 8th Grade.  I am also a member of Randall School's Crisis Management Team, and Character Education Team.

I truly believe what Confucius once said -- "If you chose a job that you like, you will never have to work a day in your life."
