Miss Bauer

Sixth - Eighth Grade Band Teacher

I came to Randall in 2002 teaching Fourth and Fifth Grade Band.  In 2004, I began teaching Sixth-Eighth Grade Band and absolutely love it!  I have fun continuing the students' instrumental education along with incorporating teamwork and community building in everyday rehearsals.  This is something I enjoyed, as I started playing the trumpet in my 5th grade band.  I hope to instill in my students a life-long appreciation of music.  Instrumental music education, when combined with all other aspects of a child's eduction, helps develop self-confidence, self-expression, heightens academic performance and builds relatonships.  We have so much fun in Pep Band during the girls and boys basketball seasons with our theme dress-up days and the "Bauer Breakfast Club" rehearsals.  I also look forward to heading to the northwoods in the fall to spend time with the 7th Graders at Camp Upham Woods.

I enjoy coming to school every day - I love the students and staff.  In my spare time I am a member of the Wilmot Community Band, I love to read and spead time with my friends and family.  My favorite foods are grilled steaks, spaghetti, Dove dark chocolates and tacos.  I also love cats and have a mischevious one at home named Chloe.

If you have any questions or concerns about the 6th-8th grade band program, I encourage you to call or e-mail me and I would be happy to talk with you.
