Dr. Bloom

District Administrator

My vision for Randall Consolidated School District is built upon a foundation of prior experiences and constructed from a collection of previous leadership opportunities in both the public schools and higher education.  The building blocks for this vision are comprised of  a number of key beliefs that would provide the framework for the vision.  These beliefs are:

·         A school’s Vision is to develop the “dream school” while the Mission is the road map that helps you get there.

 ·         One actually has more Power when it is given away and distributed to others.

·         Better Decisions are made when everyone has a voice in making them.

·         Leaders can not lead others who are not willing to be Followers.

·         The ultimate key to school improvement and success is the development, cultivation and maintenance of positive working Relationships with others.

·         Embracing Change is, ultimately, a school leader’s best hope for improvement in school learning for all.

·         A school leader can not lead others to places where they themselves will not go.  Leadership takes Courage and Sacrifice.

·         The best school leader serves as the Head Learner in the school.

·         Goal setting and personal Reflection are the best forms of evaluation to gauge staff performance.

·         All children Can learn.  More accurately, however, is the notion that in our schools all children May learn.  This means creating an environment that best meets the diverse needs of all pupils in an engaging, challenging and humane manner.
